Sprockets - Stunt or Street

Bike Night Advertising - Sport Bikes Parts

Stock Sprockets
Made of steel and usually arent very agressive in terms of giving you good acceleration.
Typically people riding the street will change the front -1and + 2 or 3 teeth in the rear
.
Stunter Riders typical setup is running around a 50 tooth rear and -1 in front. If some plans to ride the streets often then may choose a less agressive amount and same goes the other way, if you play to just ride lots you may choose a more agressive amount of teeth.

Changing sizes of Sprockets
When raising and lowering the number of teeth on your sprockets two things happen, one you lose top speed by about 15mph for ever -1 front or about every 3 teeth added out back and two is allows you to accelerate faster. It is easier to change the rear sprocket by far which is why you hear most people do it, most of the time it requires a new chain.
